Geothermal dynamic constraints of groundwater source heat pump system in shallow aquifers

نویسندگان

چکیده

Due to the temperature of shallow aquifers being affected by atmospheric temperature, groundwater source heat pumps (GWSHPs) become unstable and operation efficiency GWSHP is constrained. In study, coupling numerical simulation model flow field established based on continuous monitoring results in an actual experimental site, water thermal migration aquifer simulated under influence environment. The dynamic change ground analyzed a GWSHP. indicated that external recharge summer cooling period was 33°C, winter heating 6°C avoid occurrence penetration when there gap between situation design situation, single cooler can balance insufficient capacity most unfavorable situation. research also provide reference for development utilization geothermal energy resources aquifers.

Scaling in Geothermal Heat Pump Systems

INTRODUCTION Water quality is a frequently overlooked issue in the application of geothermal heat pump (GHP) systems. When considered at all, is often viewed as a problem unique to open loop systems. In residential open loop applications water is supplied directly to the heat pump’s refrigerant-to-water heat exchanger. If the water has a tendency to be scale forming, fouling of the heat exchang...

A model of groundwater seepage and heat transfer for single-well ground source heat pump systems

In China, for the limitation of land, many buildings intending to utilize ground source heat pump systems install “single-well” systems, which drill only one well for both the pumping and reinjection of the groundwater. A model of groundwater seepage and heat transfer for single-well ground source heat pump systems has been established and validated against the experiment conducted in Denmark. ...

Impact of Boundary Conditions on a Groundwater Heat Pump System Design in a Shallow and Thin Aquifer near the River

The exploitation of shallow geothermal energy through a groundwater heat pump (GWHP) is always limited to thick and deep aquifers containing abundant water with a relatively stable temperature. Unfortunately, aquifers in hilly regions which occupy two thirds of China are usually thin and shallow. The boundary conditions in those hilly areas affect the groundwater flow that is used for geotherma...
